Education Q&A

Vermont Law School???

ECept Education > Online Degree

Q. Would anyone recommend me VLS as a good choice if I want to do Environmental Law??

A. Unless there is virtually no question about your desire to become an environmental lawyer, you might want to look at a school that has other strong programs. I am not sure how strong Vermont is in other fields. Being a third year at Oregon (also ranked fairly high in environmental law), I have seen countless students arrive with the intent to go out and work for the EPA or Sierra Club, only to completely change their orientation after taking a few Environmental courses. As for myself, I was an industrialist before entering law school and have become even more hardened in my beliefs after going to Oregon. I don't know if 1989 counts as recent, but I really enjoyed my time and I believe I got a first rate education in environmental law. I don't know what area you are considering, but if it is environmental law, I think you will enjoy it quite a bit. It's not New Brunswick, though. If you feel a need for parking lots, shopping malls, Route 1 etc. you will not like living in central Vermont. If you do go and need a fix, just drive over to Lebanon, NH and do some shopping :-) The consequences of satisfying these goals produce benefits for the users, the institution, society, and the health of the planetary environment. The document entitled, Vermont Law School New Classroom Building - An Environmental Building for an Environmental Law School, dated February 1998, covers the building's environmental features, grouping them by the goals cited above. The document entitled, Environmental Aspects of Materials for VT Law School New Classroom Building, dated November 1997, cove rs material and finish choices. This document has a different intent, which is to describe whole systems and how they are intended to function. Therefore, it is organized by system. These systems are included: * building envelope * mechanical systems * lighting and daylighting * water and waste systems * materials and finishes
